Want to know why Google or Yahoo! ranks pages? If so this is the Firefox extension for you. SEO for Firefox pulls in many useful marketing data points to make it easy get a holistic view of the competitive landscape of a market directly in the search results.

The Theory…

I like to just be able to glance at something and see if it is worth doing or not. Over time in the SEO game you sorta learn a feel for estimating keywords and markets, but it is helpful to have a few additional data points, especially if you are new to the market.

This tool was designed to add more data to Google and Yahoo! to make it easier to evaluate the value and competitive nature of a market. SEO for Firefox pulls in many useful marketing data points to make it easy get a more holistic view of the competitive landscape of a market right from the search results. In addition to pulling in useful marketing data this tool also provides links to the data sources so you can dig deeper into the data.

First Things First:

If you are casually surfing please turn this extension off. Only turn it on if you are actively researching a market.

In the status bar at the bottom of Firefox you can click the SEO for Firefox logo to turn it on or off.

If it is colorful it is on. SEO for Firefox On Status.

If it is gray it is off. SEO for Firefox Off Status.

This extension also has courtesy settings which allow you to ping search engines for data at a slow rate. You probably want to set the delay to at least 1 or more seconds. If you set it at 0 do not be surprised if some of the engines at least temporarily block you for scraping data.

SEO for Firefox Extension Features:

Pulls useful market research data right into Google’s and Yahoo!’s search results, including the following data near each search result.

  • PR: (Google PageRank) an estimated measure of global link authority
  • Age: age pulled from Archive.org, shows the first time a page was indexed by Archive.org’s spider. The theory is that if Archive.org found a page so did many of the major search engines.
  • Links: (Yahoo! linkdomain) shows a rough estimate of the total number of links pointing at a domain
  • .edu Link: (Yahoo! .edu linkdomain ) shows a rough estimate of the total number of .edu links pointing at a domain
  • .edu Page Link: (Yahoo! .edu link ) shows a rough estimate of the total number of .edu links pointing at a specific page
  • .gov Link: (Yahoo! .gov linkdomain ) shows a rough estimate of the total number of .gov links pointing at a domain
  • Page Links: (Yahoo! link) shows a rough estimate of the total number of links pointing at a page
  • del.icio.us: number of times a URL has been bookmarked on Del.icio.us. Heavily skewed toward techy / Web 2.0 stuff.
  • Technorati: an estimate of the total number of links to a site from blogs
  • Alexa: rank based on website traffic . Heavily skewed toward internet marketing and webmaster related resources.
  • Cached: (Google site:) shows how many pages from a site are indexed in Google
  • dmoz: searches the Google Directory to count the total number of pages from a site that are listed in DMOZ, and the total number of pages listed in DMOZ that reference that URL.
  • Bloglines: shows you how many people are subscribed to a particular blog via Bloglines.
  • dir.yahoo.com: is a site listed in the Yahoo! Directory or not.
  • WhoIs: makes it easy to look up the whois data for any site.

One Plug in With More Data, Easier Access :)

In addition to pulling in this valuable marketing data this tool links to the resources where the data was pulled from, so it makes it easy for you to verify the data and further analyze it by citing the source. You can click on any of the data points to dig deeper.

You can chose which of the links you want to appear, and they will appear in the organic search results under each listing, likeso

This tool also links to a couple cool keyword research tools near the top of the search results, including:

  • Google Trends – shows historical search volume trends
  • SEO Book Keyword Research Tool – cross references many popular keyword research tools
  • Overture View Bid – shows Yahoo!’s top bid prices for a particular keyword
  • Google Traffic Estimator – shows top bid estimates and click volume estimates associated with Google AdWords.
  • Google Keyword Sandbox – Google’s keyword research tool
  • ahoo! data points I would recommend only activating a few of those or setting those to 5 seconds if you have them all on Auto. If you query Yahoo! too quickly I believe they typically ban you for about a half hour or so.
  • I would probably put Alexa.com and Archive.org site age on at least a couple second delay if they are on Auto.

They Called It A “Miracle”

A few years ago my good friend John Reese (of Traffic Secrets fame), coined a phrase… “Virtual Real Estate”

The idea is that you can buy a few domains for really cheap, put simple websites on them that can generate a passive, ongoing income.

Let’s be clear. We’re not talking about building sites with super long sales pages, tons of fancy graphics, or anything like that.

Instead these would be “point and shoot” websites that you could put up and earn money through affiliate programs, or Google’s AdSense, basically whatever you wanted to plug in would earn you a handsome profit.

John’s a great guy… I respect him a lot. In this case I think he was a visionary because at the time there wasn’t any software that could easily do what he was talking about.

Then all of a sudden there was a flood of software that came on the market… and I think bought pretty much every single one of ‘em in a quest to fulfill my VRE dream!

The problem was it was all crap. There were actually a lot of problems to be honest.

…The sites were hideous looking.

…There was still tons of “techie” configuration stuff you had to do

…All the sites were secretly embedded with someone else’s affiliate links

…some of them just plain didn’t work

…and others required stuff like MySQL databases, cron jobs, and other stuff

In the end, it was still too much work and I got so frustrated I decided to make something myself that would overcome all those limitations.

So I took a step back, did some research, and tried a few different things. Something I noticed was my blogs would get indexed REALLY quickly, but my VRE sites would just sit there.

But as I already mentioned above, blogs can be a big hassle.

Then it hit me like a ton of bricks – what if I made some flat sites, with no back-end, that looked like a WordPress blog?

I could load them up with AdSense using the knowledge I had already gained about ad placement and clickthrough, then I could pile on Amazon Associate links, eBay Partner Network feeds, ClickBank affiliate ads, put my own articles in there, and fill the rest of the content with keyword-specific feeds from around the web?

Well I did just that — and it worked.

I had unwittingly stumbled upon a way to launch sites that earn a consistent monthly income… but updating just a single file!

If your aim is not just to survive, but pronounce your presence online more prominently, then a authority site is your solution.

An authority site will have more content, more pages and more links added to its body. The quality of content should be very relevant, original, up-to-date and complete. The site will be such a high quality statement of the genre that other sites will want to add their links and refer the authority site’s link on other pages.

Now, to build an authority site you need to be very conscious and diplomatic. It is imperative that you have a wide knowledge of your industry, present market conditions along with a well researched market segmentation and identification of targeted readers before you embark on authority content. You would also need to have an understanding and a full knowledge of how the content works, the various high networking options and sophisticated web site builders with guaranteed SEO ranking.

A successful authority site would also require identifying and collaborating with similar sites, finding new marketing ways like adding link baits.

Here is a step-by-step guide or blueprint if you will on how you can successfully create an authority site.

Step #1. Product Research.

To build an authority site the first thing you need to do is to know everything about your product. Whatever product you are launching, or whatever service you are offering – first get all the primary data on it. This will give you an idea about the content for the pages of your site. Arrange your knowledge in an importance based order – this will give you an idea about what your content would be and where would you need to place them. Also, a wide knowledge of your product or service will help you throughout the process.

Step #2. Market Research.

Now study the market. Generally, large organizations hire market researchers for this job because it is very systematic and needs a vast knowledge of statistics and marketing. As you go with market research, you will know your competitors, the current industry situation, nature and quantity of demand. This will help you revise your content to suit the demands of online optimization. Your study of your competitors will make you aware about the current industry standards and help you set your goals above them. This process is necessary because it can give you the list of important links that you can add on your sites.

Step #3. Audience Research.

This step starts from market segmentation and identifying your target readers. This will make you reshape your content accordingly. Moreover, it will give you an idea about the designing of your site keeping in mind the target age group and financial segment of your audience.

Step #4. Planning the Site.

This is the most important step. Because here you have to apply all your knowledge and on this depends your future prospects. Plan your site according to your link strategy, keyword fundamentals and keyword saturation. Plan web hosting including emails, file manager, fantastico, traffic stats, log files and cpanel. You may also add link baits to accumulate more links on your site. It is a good idea to arrange blog-space as it will automatically increase your content. Above all, design your site in such a way that all users feel comfortable, free and tempted to visit your site more often.

Step #5. Developing & Designing.

This is the step where you realize your project. You may use different website ranking optimization tools like ContentPress, Pheedpress to your site. This also includes a rough hand out submission to major search engines, press releases with submission to DMOZ and various directories, booking web space, registering domain name and ultimately designing your site attractively and uploading.

Step #6. A Strategic Marketing Plan.

As you launch your site, it is also now time to market your site. There are popular methods to market your site like Search Engine Optimization with monthly link building campaign, search engine ranking report, link campaign status report and more. This will continue with a thorough online marketing, Internet promotion services, periodic up gradation, troubleshooting, indexing and all other relevant services.

These 6 steps I outlined above will give you a good headstart with creating your first authority site. I recommend you read through them one more time so it really soaks in, then sit down and start thinking about what you want your first authority site to be about, then take action.

Good luck and have fun.

Well these days it seems if your not online, your missing out on something. Whether its easy communication between friends and family, effortless access to information 24/7, saving you the trip to the bank to pay the bills or probably the best Internet feature is its ability to create you automated business income online 24 hours per day 7 days a week, including Christmas day.

We live in a time where we pretty much all have access to the Internet for prices that cost way less than a coffee a day, sometimes free. The Internet is a billion dollar industry and infrastructure, with a billion people connected to it at any one time. Don’t quote my figures but I am sure you catch my drift.

Now that’s leverage! The Internet is allowing the every day small time players to earn millions in automated business income online. Never in history have we see this happen, without owning physical multinational companies, and you know what? You could easily be part of it. we could easily start earning a healthy income from it, part time, full time, casual or on a temporary basis.

There are so many ways to enter into automated business income from the the Internet. Here are a few ideas to start with.

What are your hobbies, interests? Write about it, write articles for free, write an ebook about it and sell it via websites such as Clickbank. Clickbank is an Affiliate Network, which means that you basically don’t even have to market it. Do the initial research and work, post it on the Internet and there will be thousands of marketers out there ready to market and sell your work for you, for a small commission. Now not only is that leverage, that’s some passive income that will never die down.

Invest in products to resell. Such as Internet Marketing ebooks or software. You can find many sites that you can buy product for next to nothing and resell these products to niche markets for a healthy profit. Ebook stores do very good business these days online and if you can’t sell them then you will certainly be able to learn from them.

Ebay, your own estore, affiliate sites, the list is endless. I’d like to mention Point Per Click (PPC) is probably one of the most powerful automate business income opportunities to date. If you haven’t tried “Domain” campaigns in SpeedPPC yet, then
you could be missing out on some quality traffic.

Domain campaigns target searchers who type URLs in the search
query box, rather than the address bar. Perhaps by mistake or
because they’re guessing URLs trying to find the right web site.

Here’s how it works:

You create a SpeedPPC domain campaign (choose Domain from next
to the campaign name) and enter your domain name/s in the seed
keyword list. If your URL is more than one word, put spaces in
between each word because SpeedPPC includes variations without
spaces as well.

SpeedPPC will automatically expand your domain name with
different variations and give you a final keyword list. So for
example, for www.cheapwidgets.com I entered “cheap widgets” into
the seed keyword list. SpeedPPC produced variations such as:

www cheapwidgets
ww cheapwidgets com
cheapwidgets com, etc
(for this one domain, SpeedPPC produced 88 variations)

Once you start bidding on these domain variations, your ads are
appearing in front of the searchers that are using URLs in the
search query box.

Of course, the best thing about domain campaigns is that the
clicks are usually pretty cheap because domain-based keywords
are often forgotten by PPC marketers.

So don’t be one that forgets! Use the domain campaign type to
bring more customers to your site

There are two pieces of software that is an absolute must to get to
generate content for your websites, totally unique, keyword
and related keyword, authoritative natured content!

The first was Website Content Wizard by David Watson,
a more expensive solution, but totally worth the cost at
$197.00

>>>>>>> Click here to Download it! <<<<<<<<

Very powerful piece of software. I used this for a while
and I must admit, it was kind of labor intensive to create
the content. But its main power was within the built-in
feature to re-write articles that you can import into
Website Content Wizard to create 1000’s more.

Some months after, I came across Instant Article Wizard
by Jon Leger. Man, what a life saver. With all due respect
to David Watson, Instant Article Wizard, priced at $67.00
out performed in many ways. First the content that came
back was more legible. It hardly took any time to sort
out the sentences to create a 500-1000 word article, in
fact, less than 10 minutes, the more you used it, more
one became custom to the software to a point, at least
for me, knocking out articles in approximately 3 minutes
flat!

Totally worth the $67.00 price tag!

>>>>>>> Click here to Download it! <<<<<<<<

Using the two pieces together proved to be doubly more
powerful; Instant Article Wizard to create excellent
content, while saving the articles and storing them into
an import database feature to turn to later and have those
re-spun (re-written) to submit out to blogs, article
directories and any other place that you can think of.

I’ve generated a little over 700,000 articles for my 540+
websites and over 500,000 for blogs, ezine groups,
article directories, hubpages, myspace accounts, you name
it, driving 10’s of thousands of visitors to my sites
month after month after month pushing my adsense income
through the roof!

BUT WAIT! It gets better.

Jon Leger released Instant Article Wizard Pro, a web
based software that takes over 250,000 pre-made articles
stored on the server and re-writes them for you. Talk about
blow you away with how fast it generates the content,
we’re talking 30-60 seconds here per article.

In fact, I created 365 articles in less than 7 days for
testing purposes for SEO Website Builder Pro with it!

Now if you’re already an Instant Article Wizard Pro
member, you are going to get the Desktop version as a free
upgrade… swweeeeet!

He’s created a desktop version which is totally awesome:
Instant Article Wizard Pro 2.0

>>>>>>> Click here to Download it! <<<<<<<<

But if you’re not a member yet, I would highly suggest
that you do then you’ll be entitled to the free upgrade.
If you buy it later, you’ll have to pay a monthly fee. :(

So don’t wait, seriously, I know there has been a craze
over the recently ICR (I-Content Robot) software. I don’t
like giving bad reviews as I know how hard and tiring it
is to create products and all your best effort goes into
creating a good product. But I must say, ICR valued at
$497.00 is not worth the money.

You are limited to 50 topics per month.
And you can’t resell the content. Bummer!
It must be used for personal use only! Double Bummer!

With Website Content Wizard , Instant Article Wizard ,
Instant Article Wizard Pro, Instant Article Wizard Pro 2.0
there are NO RESTRICTIONS!
And what’s more, the content generated is always fresh
content that appears in the SE’s, so no matter how many
people use it, you will always, at least 95%+ of the
time have unique content.

Website Content Wizard – $197.00

Instant Article Wizard – Desktop version – $67.00
